Market in the Valley

Time to get some Fresh Air at the Market

The first day of the Market in the Valley’s farmers market is here, June 20th and it’s time to celebrate! All your local farmers have come out to sell their fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins, and much more. There are also some delicious baked goods for sale too so you can grab a sweet treat to enjoy while you walk around the market. This is truly an event that everyone should be excited about–don’t miss out on this Sunday!

The Market is where we come together

The Market in the Valley was started over 10 years ago by local residents and continues to support local businesses and help bring the community together. It’s also about feeding people and providing them with access to local, sustainable food options. After last year, that mission is more important than ever for communities like ours to support these types of events–let’s make sure we continue supporting this farmer market!

When you live in a city, it can be hard to find an attachment to the people around you. For some of us, the farmers market is where these connections can happen and the conversation begins. It’s a chance for everyone to stop and say hello; not knowing who that friendly person with their Crepe and flowers is, just makes connecting even sweeter.

The Farmers Market is a curated collection of terrific local produce and handmade goods by local artisans. Stop in for the best fruit, cheese, meats, herbs, honey, or pick up some artisanal soap to add to your home decorating. The farmers market is one of the best places to get your hands on some local produce and handmade goods.

Farmers Markets give families a chance to spend some quality time outside together. Not only do you get exercise and fresh air while being engaged socially, you’ll also have the opportunity to learn about how food is grown or crafts are made! So feel excited and get ready to enjoy all the beautiful things you’ll find at Golden Valley’s farmer market. It’s not hard to see the importance of such traditions in a community like ours; they’re as important as those who live here.

What to expect at the farmer’s market this year

Last year was tough for so many reasons. The market wasn’t quite the same as in years past. But we feel like this year as we return to normal, so will the experience at the market. Every week, our vendors offer seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables, and other goods that were freshly harvested or made before arriving that day. You will taste flavors from all over the world and you’ll never know what new dish inspiration awaits you each week!

Whether you’re looking to stock up on fresh produce, want to try some cheeses on hand, or share something from our bakers and confectioners, or can’t wait to enjoy live music with your family- The Farmers Market has it all! Experience quality food that’s grown in and around the Greater Minneapolis Area and Minnesota.

By now, we all know the benefits of eating healthy, whether it’s for our waistlines or our wallets. One way to do this is while shopping at Market in the Valley take a moment to learn more about more sustainable food programs and practices directly from the people with a lot of experience growing or creating all those goods. This Sunday, you’ll get your first chance of the season to learn up close and personal about everything they’ve done in preparation for this coming season before taking home your purchases! You could even ask our vendors about their favorite recipes and how they use the items they offer.
